Every great movement starts small — ours begins with five students and a vision for lasting change.
Empowering Haitian youth through education to build self-sufficient communities — beginning in Haiti and expanding to Norwalk and beyond.
At the International Student Aid Association (ISAA), we believe lasting change starts with investing in the next generation. Our mission began with five remarkable Haitian students whose determination inspired us to take action — proving that even small beginnings can spark lasting transformation. Through scholarships, educational resources, and mentorship, we support these students as they pursue their education and overcome the socioeconomic barriers that limit opportunity.
By starting small, we ensure that every student receives the focused support needed to thrive — with the long-term goal of helping them reach college and return as leaders in their communities. As our programs grow, we’re expanding this model to our local Norwalk community through youth enrichment initiatives and after-school programs that mirror our mission abroad.
Together, we’re building bridges between global and local impact — because empowering youth anywhere strengthens communities everywhere.
Our Mission
To nurture a generation of educated, empowered Haitian youth who rise above circumstance to create lasting change within their communities — the future changemakers of Haiti.
To nurture a generation of educated, empowered Haitian youth who rise above circumstance to create lasting change within their communities — the future changemakers of Haiti.
We envision a Haiti where every child, regardless of circumstance, has the opportunity to learn, lead, and uplift others. ISAA’s vision is to nurture a generation of scholars who will become teachers, healthcare professionals, and community leaders — driving progress from within.
While our current focus remains on supporting five scholarship students in Haiti, our broader goal is to grow sustainably — expanding this proven model of educational empowerment to other underserved communities, beginning with Norwalk, Connecticut.
Through storytelling, transparency, and ongoing engagement, we connect our supporters directly with the journeys of the students whose lives they are transforming — from the classroom today to college tomorrow.
